Students in the MSc (Computer Games Technology) program can apply for an
internship with a gaming company located in Canada. The internships lasts 4
months and it is a paid position. Students have the option of combining the
internship with the dissertation research, or just working for the
experience without combining it with their research. The internship is
through MITACS and will pay approx. $15,000.
This is the only Master's level degree in gaming technology to be offered in Canada, and is one of the very few gaming programs anywhere with an established and accredited curriculum that covers the necessary bases for a subsequent lucrative career in gaming. The degree emphasizes the creation of a set of significant portfolio software pieces to show future employers.
