Besides being helpful for foreign students wishing to master the language, studies in English are also a great way to learn about world literature, culture, history, and society – all while preparing graduates for a range of further opportunities.

Often, students holding an undergraduate degree in English go on to do a more specialized Master’s degree afterward – however, many also use their degrees to directly pursue careers in such areas as teaching, law, publishing, journalism, or public service.
