Medical & Nursing

In countries around the world, demand is high for qualified medical health practitioners and researchers – including right here in Canada, where medical career opportunities are growing at an extremely fast rate.

Apart from offering all the general science courses that interested “pre-med” students can take in order to prepare themselves for further medical degrees later on, our CUAC institutions also offer a range of exciting fast-track programs at the undergraduate level, getting students started directly into the medical field! Human Kinetics (Guelph and University of Windsor), Nutritional and Nutraceutical Sciences (Guelph), Nursing (Windsor), and Dentistry (Windsor) – all these fields can be studied as an undergraduate at one of our universities.

Alternatively, if the workings of the human body interest you, but traditional medicine does not, you may be interested in the field of Kinesiology – which studies human movement, wellness, health and physical rehabilitation, and is available at both UVic and Guelph. Or, if animals are more your thing, why not check out our Veterinary Medicine or Zoology options, offered by the University of Guelph.
