Master in Manufacturing Management - Scholarships
3M Canada Scholarships
Established in the spring of 2005, two scholarships funded by 3M Canada, MMM's named sponsor, will be awarded to incoming students registered in the program every September in 2008, 2009 and 2010. Candidates must be full-time students, either Canadian or International, who strongly meet all admission requirements. The value of each full award is C$12,500.
The J. Keith Drysdale Manufacturing Management Graduate Fellowship
Established in 2004 by Donna Drysdale, B.Ed. 1959, in honour of her late husband, J. Keith Drysdale, B.Sc. 1960, M.B.A. 1966. This scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic excellence to an outstanding graduate student in the Master in Manufacturing Management program by the Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies, upon the recommendation of the Directors of the Manufacturing Management program. Not renewable. Value: C$5,000.
The Drysdale Fellowship recognizes and promotes the academic achievement of the top graduate student in the MMM program. It will be awarded to a current student in August of each year, upon completion of all course work. All students enrolled in the MMM program will be automatically considered by the Directors, who will base their selection on academic excellence in the program.
Entrance Scholarships
There are a limited number of entrance scholarships funded by the program's corporate sponsors which are awarded to top applicants every year. These are valued at C$5000 each, representing a 20% reduction of the tuition fees. Each candidate accepted to the program is automatically considered for an entrance scholarship. Their applications are evaluated by the MMM Admissions Committee and awards are given on merit. Scholarship recipients are advised in the weeks immediately following receipt of official letters of acceptance.
Performance Scholarships
Because this is a professionally-oriented program and every effort is made to emulate a corporate environment, MMM distributes performance scholarships during the course of the academic year. Closely resembling corporate bonuses, three such scholarships valued at C$1500 each are available in the form of tuition reduction to the three most-qualified students after each academic semester. In addition, a scholarship of C$1500 is also awarded after the second and third semesters to the most improved student.
