Located in one of Canada’s most beautiful (and warmest) cities, the University of Victoria is not only one of the world’s great public universities, it is also home to one of the country’s largest Co-operative Education programs.

For students interested in getting hands-on, career-oriented work experience as part of their university degrees, co-operative education (or “co-op”) is one of the best ways to go! Students learn and earn, as they are placed in full-time industry jobs during study breaks.
Commonly known as ‘UVic’, the University hosts leading and cutting edge research – perhaps best demonstrated by seven of its professors, who shared in a Nobel Prize. UVic offers students a classroom experience with top internationally recognized experts. And as international students make up 10% of the university’s entire student body, UVic is also a great place for international newcomers to fit right in.
Although the most popular areas of program interest for international students at UVic include its Commerce and Engineering programs, other majors in the health sciences and humanities continue to draw students into new directions – and position them for exciting careers ahead!
All this in a city most Canadians consider their country’s dream vacation destination – with wonderful beaches, mountains and forests all next to one other.
